KI TISSA (When You Take)

 

Standing upon the ashen land of the wilderness, the descendants of Israel began to count as commanded by God. It was a task akin to numbering the countless stars, yet it served as a reaffirmation of their status as God's own.

 

광야의 잿빛 땅에 서서 이스라엘의 자손들은 하나님의 명령에 따라 수를 세기 시작했습니다. 그것은 무수히 많은 별의 수를 세는 것과 비슷한 일이었지만, 이것은 그들이 하나님의 소유임을 재확인하는 과정이기도 했습니다.

 

This command held a significance similar to inscribing names in the Book of Life. It symbolized their confirmation as God's people, with each individual's commitment manifesting through service in the tabernacle.

 

이 명령은 생명책에 이름을 적는 것과 유사한 의미를 지니고 있었습니다. 이것은 하나님의 백성으로서 확정되었음을 상징하며, 각 개인의 속전이 회막에서의 봉사로써 나타나게 되었습니다.

 

The service in the tabernacle replaced the role of Israel's firstborns in offering sacrifices. The Levites became the link between the Israelites and God, with their service symbolizing connection to Jesus Christ.

 

회막에서의 봉사는 이스라엘의 맏아들이 제사를 지내야 했던 역할을 대신하게 되었습니다. 레위인들은 그들의 봉사를 통해 이스라엘 백성과 하나님 사이의 연결고리가 되었으며, 그들의 예배는 예수 그리스도와의 연결을 상징했습니다.

 

However, the covenant made at Sinai faced turmoil, exemplified by the golden calf incident. This deepened the sense of God's absence, casting shadows of darkness alongside the light of grace.

 

그러나 시내산에서 맺은 언약은 금송아지 사건과 같은 파국을 맞이했습니다. 이로 인해 하나님의 부재감이 더욱 깊어져 은혜의 빛과 함께 어둠의 그림자가 드리워졌습니다.

 

Greed served as the heart of idol worship, controlling and subduing those who succumbed to its allure. When greed in the stomach takes the place of head, individuals become ensnared in idol worship's trap.

 

탐심은 우상 숭배의 핵심으로, 우상의 매력에 굴복한 사람들을 통제하고 정복하는 역할을 합니다. 배 속의 탐욕이 머리를 대신할 때 개인은 우상 숭배의 덫에 걸려들게 됩니다.

 

Moses fervently sought only God's presence, contrary to the wishes of the people. He longed for the divine companionship of God.

 

모세는 백성들의 바람과는 반대로 하나님의 임재를 간절히 구했습니다. 그는 하나님의 신성한 동행을 갈망했습니다. 

 

Thus, we now stand alongside the descendants of Israel, contemplating their past and future. Without God's presence, our journey would be hollow and purposeless. Therefore, like Moses, we must courageously seek God's companionship, guiding our journey under His leadership. This is the path to our true safety and abundance of life.

 

따라서 우리는 이제 이스라엘의 후손들과 나란히 서서 그들의 과거와 미래를 묵상합니다. 하나님의 임재가 없다면 우리의 여정은 공허하고 무의미할 것입니다. 그러므로 우리는 모세처럼 용기를 내어 하나님의 동행을 구하고 그분의 인도하심 아래 우리의 여정을 이끌어야 합니다. 이것이 진정한 안전과 풍요로운 삶으로 가는 길입니다.

A cry of longing, Moses

모세의 갈망

 

 

 

Standing amidst the endless wilderness,

A voice echoes,

It is the voice of Moses,

A cry of longing for the presence of God.

 

끝없는 광야 한가운데 서 있습니다,
목소리가 울려 퍼집니다,
모세의 목소리입니다,
하나님의 임재를 갈망하는 외침입니다.

 

"Lord, reveal Your glory to me."

Amidst ensuing silence,

The sound of God's presence draws near,

Finally revealing that glory.

 

"주님, 당신의 영광을 제게 보여주세요."
계속되는 침묵 속에서,
하나님의 임재의 소리가 가까이 다가옵니다,
마침내 그 영광이 드러납니다.

 

Sacred light illuminates the earth,

As the voice of God resounds,

"I will make all My goodness pass before you,

And I will proclaim My name before you."

 

신성한 빛이 대지를 비춥니다,
하나님의 음성이 울려 퍼집니다,
"내가 나의 모든 선하심을 네 앞에 드러내리라,
내 이름을 네 앞에 선포하리라."

 

Moses' eyes behold that glory,

His heart filled with reverence and awe,

In the moment of divine encounter,

A deep resonance of union echoes.

 

모세의 눈은 그 영광을 바라보았습니다,
그의 마음은 경건함과 경외감으로 가득 찼습니다,
거룩한 만남의 순간에
깊은 연합의 울림이 울려 퍼집니다.

 

In that moment, the convergence of God's glory and Moses' passion

Is captured in a single poem,

A scene forever etched,

The communion of Moses' prayer and God's response.

 

그 순간, 하나님의 영광과 모세의 열정이 만나
한 편의 시에 담겨 있습니다,
영원히 새겨진 장면,
모세의 기도와 하나님의 응답의 교감입니다.

New Tablets

새로운 돌판

 

Stone by stone, with chisel's gentle grace,

Moses carves anew, a sacred space.

Each stroke recalls the shattered past,

Yet hope endures, a bond to last.

 

돌 하나하나, 끌의 부드러운 우아함으로,
모세는 신성한 공간을 새롭게 조각합니다.
한 획 한 획을 그을 때마다 산산이 부서진 과거가 떠오릅니다,
하지만 희망은 지속됩니다.

 

In echoes of the first, a tale retold,

Redemption's arc, in stone unfolds.

From broken tablets, a lesson learned,

New tablets hewn, a covenant returned.

 

첫 번째 이야기의 메아리가 다시 들려옵니다,
구원의 호가 돌에 새겨져 펼쳐집니다.
깨진 석판에서 교훈을 얻었습니다,
새 돌판이 만들어지고 언약이 다시 돌아왔습니다.

 

With each strike, a promise made,

To walk again in light's cascade.

For in the fragments, a chance to mend,

And find redemption in stone's amend.

 

두들겨 만들 때 약속이 있었습니다,
빛의 폭포 속에서 다시 걷겠다는 약속.
파편 속에서 고칠 기회를 얻었습니다,
그리고 수정된 돌판에서 구원을 찾습니다.

As the Lord passed before him, His proclamation echoed through the wilderness, "The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth." This moment was akin to the sealing of a covenant, a pledge from God's heart to never return to a time before the covenant. "Yahweh, Yahweh," the divine declaration resounded, promising the greatest covenant, to dwell within us and reveal Himself. His revelation of character within us calls us to embody His traits.

 

주님께서 그 앞을 지나가실 때 "주 하나님, 자비롭고 은혜로우시며 오래 참으시고 선과 진실이 풍성하신 주님"이라는 선포가 광야에 울려 퍼졌습니다. 이 순간은 언약의 인봉과도 같았으며, 언약 이전의 시간으로 돌아가지 않겠다는 하나님의 마음이 담긴 서약이었습니다. "여호와로라, 여호와로라"라는 신성한 선언이 울려 퍼지며 우리 안에 거하시며 자신을 계시하실 위대한 언약을 약속했습니다. 우리 안에 계신 그분의 성품에 대한 계시는 우리에게 그분의 특성을 구현하도록 부르십니다.

 

Merciful, a mother's womb harboring hope, cradles the essence of God's covenant within me, an embodiment of mercy towards others.

 

희망을 품은 어머니의 자궁인 자비는 내 안에 하나님의 언약의 본질을 품고 있으며, 다른 사람을 향한 자비의 구체화입니다.

 

Gracious, bending and yielding, reflecting the graceful gestures of the Lord, intertwining in the dance of life.

 

은혜로움은 구부리고 굴복하며, 삶의 춤 속에 얽혀 있는 하나님의 우아한 몸짓을 반영합니다.

 

Longsuffering, a breath held in the presence of God, enduring through the moments, sustained by His grace.

 

오래 참음, 하나님의 임재 안에서 유지되는 호흡으로, 순간을 견디며 그분의 은혜로 지탱됩니다.

 

Abounding in goodness and truth, the warmth of abundant love, the essence of truth embodied in the Word, Jesus. Such divine attributes shining forth within us, a testament to His glory.

 

인자와 진실이 풍성하시며, 넘치는 사랑의 따뜻함, 말씀에 담긴 진리의 본질, 예수님. 그러한 신성한 속성이 우리 안에서 빛을 발하는 것은 그분의 영광에 대한 증거입니다.
