At its core lies the recognition of a mission, a purpose bestowed upon the faithful by God. It is a beacon that illuminates the path amidst the darkness of uncertainty, providing meaning and direction to life's journey. 그 핵심에는 하나님이 믿는 자들에게 부여한 목적, 즉 사명에 대한 인식이 자리 잡고 있습니다. 사명은 불확실성의 어둠 속에서 길을 비추는 등대와 같아서 인생의 여정에 의미와 방향을 제시합니다. 이러한 신성한 지시를 준수함으로써 장애물을 극복하고 목표를 실현하여 성취와 자유의 삶으로 이어집니다.

 

The commandments, intricately woven into the fabric of spiritual practice, serve as guiding principles for those who seek to honor God. From the lighting of the menorah to the anointment of priests, each commandment carries with it a sacred duty—an obligation to uplift and sanctify those within one's sphere of influence. Just as the priests are anointed, so too is Israel—anointed and established as a nation of priests, chosen to carry out God's will on earth.

 

영적 수행의 구조에 복잡하게 짜여진 계명은 하나님을 경외하고자 하는 사람들에게 지침이 되는 원칙입니다. 메노라에 불을 밝히는 것부터 제사장에게 기름을 붓는 것까지, 각 명령에는 자신의 영향력 범위 안에 있는 사람들을 존귀히 높이고 거룩하게 해야 하는 신성한 의무가 담겨 있습니다. 제사장들이 기름 부음을 받은 것처럼 이스라엘도 기름 부음을 받고 제사장 나라로 세워져 이 땅에서 하나님의 뜻을 성취하도록 선택받았습니다.

Yet, amidst the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment, there exists a looming threat—the Antichrist, who seeks to disrupt the sacred order. With the cessation of daily sacrifices, the sanctity of worship is defiled, replaced by desolation and chaos. 

 

그러나 영적 깨달음을 추구하는 가운데 신성한 질서를 무너뜨리려는 적그리스도라는 위협이 다가오고 있습니다. 매일 드리는 제사가 중단되면 예배의 거룩함이 더럽혀지고 황폐와 혼돈으로 대체됩니다. 

 

The symbolism of the lamb, both a symbol of dominion and control, serves as a poignant reminder of the paradox inherent in spiritual growth. As one relinquishes control and surrenders to divine will, true dominion is attained—a dominion rooted not in power and authority but in humility and obedience.

 

지배와 통제권을 나타내는 어린 양의 상징은 영적 성장에 내재된 역설을 가슴 아프게 상기시켜 줍니다. 통제권을 포기하고 하나님의 뜻에 굴복할 때 진정한 지배, 즉 힘과 권위가 아닌 겸손과 순종에 뿌리를 둔 지배를 얻게 됩니다.

 

Thus, as we embark on this spiritual journey, let us heed the call to cast aside the attributes of the Antichrist—to relinquish the lust for power and control that resides within. For it is through this Hanukkah revolution of the soul that true enlightenment is attained, leading us ever closer to God.

 

따라서 이 영적 여정을 시작하면서 적그리스도의 속성을 버리라는 부름에 귀를 기울여 우리 안에 있는 권력과 통제에 대한 욕망을 버리도록 합시다. 영혼의 하누카 혁명을 통해 진정한 깨달음을 얻고 하나님께 더욱 가까이 다가갈 수 있기 때문입니다.

YP: So, it's not merely about giving a portion of what we have, but about acknowledging God's ownership of all things?

EP: Precisely. Now, let's discuss the pressed oil. What do you understand by its significance?

 

EP: 맞아. 이제 찧은 기름에 대해 이야기해 볼까. 이 의미를 어떻게 이해하지?

 

YP: I've heard it represents beating the ego into submission.

 

YP: 자아를 쳐서 굴복시킨다는 뜻이라고 들었습니다.

 

EP: Correct. Pressed oil symbolizes the sacrifice of self. As priests, we must surrender our egos and desires to serve God and His people faithfully. It's a reminder of humility and the importance of unity within the community.

YP: So, our worship is not just a routine; it's a sacred act that consecrates every aspect of our lives.

 

YP: 예배는 단순한 일상일 뿐 아니라 우리 삶의 모든 측면을 봉헌하는 신성한 행위이군요.

 

EP: Exactly, my son. Through daily worship, we cultivate a holy life—one that reflects God's glory and fulfills His divine purpose. It's at the entrance to our existence where we meet with God, where His presence sanctifies and restores us.

 

EP: 바로 그거야, 아들아. 매일의 예배를 통해 우리는 하나님의 영광을 반영하고 그분의 신성한 목적을 성취하는 거룩한 삶을 가꾸어 나갈 수 있지. 예배는 우리 존재의 입구에서 하나님과 만나고, 그분의 임재가 우리를 거룩하게 하고 회복시키는 곳이 된다.
