Offering; the lifting gift

 

In the depths of ancient scripture lies a sacred vessel, veiled in mystery and imbued with divine purpose. Crafted with meticulous care and adorned with the finest of materials, the Ark of the Covenant stands as a symbol of covenantal promise and transcendent grace.

 

고대 경전 속 깊은 곳에는 신비에 싸여 있고 신성한 목적이 담긴 성스러운 그릇이 있습니다. 세심한 정성으로 제작되고 최고급 재료로 장식된 언약궤는 언약의 약속과 초월적인 은혜의 상징으로 자리 잡고 있습니다.

 

Within its golden confines rests the essence of a people's faith – tablets inscribed with divine law, a testament to the covenant between humanity and God. But beyond its physical form lies a deeper truth, a truth woven into the very fabric of creation itself.

 

그 황금빛 울타리 안에는 인류와 하나님 사이의 언약의 증거인 신성한 법이 새겨진 석판, 즉 사람들의 신앙의 본질이 담겨 있습니다. 그러나 그 물리적 형태 너머에는 더 깊은 진리, 즉 창조의 구조 자체에 짜여진 진리가 숨겨져 있습니다.

 

For within the Ark, nestled beneath the wings of golden cherubim, lies the heart of redemption. It is here that the mercy seat reigns supreme, a sacred space where forgiveness meets reconciliation, where heaven touches earth in a divine embrace.

 

황금 그룹들의 날개 아래 자리한 방주 안에는 구원의 심장이 자리하고 있습니다. 용서와 화해가 만나는 신성한 공간, 하늘과 땅이 신성한 포옹으로 맞닿는 곳, 바로 이곳이 바로 속죄소가 지배하는 최고의 공간입니다.

 

The cherubim, with wings outstretched, stand as sentinels of the eternal covenant, their faces turned toward one another and toward the mercy seat, a testament to the unity and love that binds all creation together.

 

그룹들은 날개를 펴고 영원한 언약의 파수꾼으로 서 있으며, 얼굴은 서로를 향하고 속죄소를 향하고 있어 모든 피조물을 하나로 묶는 일치와 사랑의 증거입니다.

 

And from between these heavenly guardians, a voice speaks – the voice of God, echoing through the ages with words of wisdom and guidance. It is a channel of communication, a sacred conduit through which the will of the Creator is made known to the hearts of humanity.

 

그리고 이 하늘의 수호자들 사이에서는 지혜와 인도의 말씀으로 시대를 초월하여 울려 퍼지는 하나님의 음성이 들려옵니다. 그것은 소통의 통로이자 창조주의 뜻이 인류의 마음에 알려지는 신성한 통로입니다.

 

But beyond the physical realm, beyond the confines of time and space, lies a deeper truth – a truth embodied in the form of a man, a carpenter's son from a distant land. For in the fullness of time, he would become the ultimate Terumah, the lifting gift for all humanity.

 

그러나 물리적 영역 너머, 시간과 공간의 한계를 넘어 더 깊은 진리, 즉 먼 땅에서 온 목수의 아들인 사람의 모습으로 구현된 진리가 있습니다. 시간이 가득 차면 그는 모든 인류를 위한 들어올림의 예물인 궁극의 테루마가 될 것이기 때문입니다.

 

His words, like golden threads woven into the tapestry of existence, echo through the corridors of history, proclaiming a message of hope and redemption. "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself."

 

그분의 말씀은 존재를 엮은 황금 실처럼 역사의 복도에 울려 퍼지며 희망과 구원의 메시지를 선포합니다. "내가 땅에서 들림 받으면 모든 민족을 내게로 이끌리라."

In the divine dance of worship, the concept of "terumah" emerges as a sacred offering, a gift lifted from the depths of our being and transformed into the very essence of our devotion. As Yeshua himself proclaimed, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Thus, our treasures, whether tangible or intangible, are destined to be transmuted into the fabric of the tabernacle, the body of Yeshua.

 

신성한 예배에서 '테루마'라는 개념은 우리 존재의 깊은 곳에서 끌어올려져 헌신의 본질로 변모하는 성스러운 제물로 등장합니다. 예슈아 자신이 "네 보물 있는 그 곳에는 네 마음도 있느니라"라고 선포했듯이 말입니다. 따라서 유형이든 무형이든 우리의 보물은 예슈아의 몸인 성막으로 변화될 운명에 처해 있습니다.

 

Yet, in this journey of worship, we encounter a delicate balance. Our treasures, when clung to tightly, risk becoming idols, binding us to the past and hindering our growth. And yet, even these idols, from a different perspective, hold the form of treasure. Thus, discarding them would regret. Instead, true freedom and joy are found in the transformation of our thoughts, in relinquishing old values and embracing the new.

 

그러나 이 예배의 여정에서 우리는 미묘한 균형을 마주하게 됩니다. 우리의 보물은 너무 집착하면 우상이 되어 우리를 과거에 묶어두고 성장을 방해할 위험이 있습니다. 그러나 이러한 우상도 다른 관점에서 보면 보물의 형태를 지니고 있습니다. 따라서 우상을 버리는 것을 아까워 합니다. 대신 진정한 자유와 기쁨은 생각을 바꾸고 낡은 가치를 버리고 새로운 것을 받아들이는 데서 발견됩니다.

 

For God, in His wisdom, has shown us the blueprint of the tabernacle, revealing the intricate details of its arrangement, materials, and specifications. And just as He instructed Moses on the mountain, so too are we called to faithfully construct the tabernacle of our lives according to His design.

 

하나님은 그분의 지혜로 우리에게 성막의 청사진을 보여 주셨고, 그 배치와 재료, 사양에 대한 복잡한 세부 사항을 알려 주셨습니다. 그리고 그분이 산에서 모세에게 지시하신 것처럼 우리도 그분의 설계에 따라 우리 삶의 성막을 충실히 건축하도록 부름받았습니다.

 

And as we heed the divine call to construct the tabernacle according to His design, we find ourselves woven together in unity, each fulfilling our unique roles within the body of Yeshua. It is in this communal offering of ourselves, in the lifting up of our treasures to be transformed, that we discover the true essence of worship – a sacred dance of devotion, uniting us in the eternal embrace of our Creator.

 

그리고 우리가 그분의 설계에 따라 성막을 건축하라는 신성한 부르심에 귀 기울일 때, 우리는 예슈아의 몸 안에서 각자의 고유한 역할을 수행하며 연합으로 함께 엮여 있는 자신을 보게 됩니다. 우리 자신을 공동의 제물로 바치고, 우리의 보물을 들어 올려 변화시키는 것에서 우리는 예배의 진정한 본질, 즉 창조주의 영원한 품 안에서 우리를 하나로 묶는 성스러운 헌신의 춤을 발견합니다.

In the heart of the wilderness, amidst the trials and tribulations of the desert, a sacred structure begins to take shape – the Tabernacle, a dwelling place for God. And at its core lie the upright planks, fashioned from enduring acacia wood, symbolizing the resilience and perseverance required to withstand hardship and persecution.

 

광야 한가운데, 사막의 시련과 고난 속에서 신성한 구조물, 즉 하나님의 거처인 성막이 모습을 드러내기 시작합니다. 그리고 그 중심에는 고난과 핍박을 견디는 데 필요한 회복력과 인내를 상징하는 아카시아 나무로 만든 직립 널빤지가 놓여 있습니다.

 

For as Scripture foretells, "I will make him who wins the victory a pillar in the Temple of my God," signifying our role as pillars in the body of Yeshua, steadfastly upholding the truth amidst the assaults of the enemy. In our spiritual journey, we are called to endure and persevere, cultivating habits of godliness and wisdom to fortify the temple of our bodies, cutting down desires that seek to lead us astray.

 

"이기는 자는 내 하나님의 성전에서 기둥이 되게 하리라"는 성경의 예언대로, 적의 공격 속에서도 진리를 굳건히 지키며 예슈아의 몸에서 기둥으로서의 우리의 역할을 의미합니다. 영적 여정에서 우리는 인내하고 견디며 경건과 지혜의 습관을 길러 몸의 성전을 튼튼히 하고 우리를 타락으로 이끌고자 하는 욕망을 끊도록 부름받았습니다.

 

Each plank bears two projections, urging us to grasp onto unity with both hands, maintaining orderly distance while standing united in purpose. And beneath them lie forty silver sockets, representing our deepest longings and desires, anchoring us to the foundation of faith laid by Yeshua himself.

 

각 판자에는 두 개의 돌출부가 있는데, 이는 우리가 질서정연한 거리를 유지하면서 목적에 따라 하나가 되기를 촉구하며 양손으로 하나됨을 붙잡으라는 의미입니다. 그리고 그 아래에는 우리의 가장 깊은 갈망과 소망을 상징하는 40개의 은받침이 있어 예슈아께서 직접 닦으신 믿음의 기초에 우리를 고정시켜 줍니다.

 

Crossbars of acacia wood bind the planks together, embodying the unity bestowed by the Spirit through the binding power of shalom. As we humbly bear with one another in love, we emulate the humility of our Savior, descending from lofty heights to serve as supporting boards in the temple of His body.

 

아카시아 나무로 만든 가로대가  널빤지를 하나로 묶어주며 샬롬의 결속력을 통해 성령께서 주시는 하나됨을 상징합니다. 사랑으로 서로를 겸손히 품을 때, 우리는 높은 곳에서 내려오셔서 주님의 몸 된 성전에서 지지대 역할을 하신 구세주의 겸손을 본받습니다

 

And woven amidst the fabric of the Tabernacle's curtain, dyed with hues of blue, purple, and scarlet, are intricate cherubim, their wings spread wide in reverence and worship. This curtain, dividing the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place, reminds us of the sacred distinction between the ordinary and the divine, guiding us towards deeper realms of holiness.

 

그리고 성막의 휘장 천 가운데에는 청색, 자색, 홍색으로 물든 정교한 그룹들이 경외와 경배의 의미로 날개를 활짝 펼친 채 짜여져 있습니다. 성소와 지성소를 구분하는 이 휘장은 일상과 신성한 것의 거룩한 구별을 상기시키며 우리를 더 깊은 거룩의 영역으로 인도합니다.

 

In this sacred construction, every element bears significance – from the enduring wood to the silver sockets, from the humble crossbars to the intricately woven curtain. Each component whispers a divine truth, urging us to stand firm, unite in love, and worship in reverence, as we journey ever closer to the heart of God.

 

이 성스러운 건축물에는 견고한 나무부터 은받침, 소박한 가로대부터 정교하게 짜여진 휘장까지 모든 요소가 의미를 지닙니다. 각 구성 요소는 신성한 진리를 속삭이며 우리가 하나님의 심장에 더욱 가까이 다가갈 때 굳건히 서서 사랑으로 하나되고 경외함으로 예배할 것을 촉구합니다.
