At the end of; Pharaoh had a dream

Then it came to pass, at the end of[mikketz] two full years, that Pharaoh had a dream; and behold, he stood by the river. (Genesis 41:1)

 

The story of Yosef(Joseph) is a narrative of betrayal, hardship, and eventual redemption.

 

Yosef, the favorite son of Jacob, is resented by his brothers due to their father's favoritism. The brothers' jealousy reaches a point where they sell Yosef  into slavery, and he is taken to Egypt. In Egypt, Yosef  rises to a position of authority in the household of Potiphar, an Egyptian official. However, he faces a false accusation of wrongdoing and is unjustly thrown into prison.

 

While in prison, Yosef interprets dreams for the chief baker, and the chief cupbearer. His interpretations prove accurate, but the chief cupbearer forgets about Yosef after being released. Yosef remains in prison for two full years until Pharaoh has a troubling dream. The chief cupbearer then remembers Yosef's ability to interpret dreams, and Yosef is brought before Pharaoh.

God allowed two full years to pass before Pharaoh had his dream and Joseph was called to interpret it. could be that God's timing was strategic for several reasons:

 

Divine Timing for Joseph's Preparation: During the two years, Joseph remained in prison, possibly further refining his character and deepening his wisdom of interpretation. This additional time could have been crucial for Joseph's spiritual and emotional preparation for the pivotal role he was about to play in interpreting Pharaoh's dream and managing the subsequent events.

 

Timing for the Fulfillment of Pharaoh's Dream: The timing of Pharaoh's dream coincided with the end of the two-year period. This synchronization may have been part of God's plan to ensure that Joseph's interpretation was timely and accurately aligned with the events about to unfold in Egypt, specifically the impending years of plenty followed by famine.

 

Preparation for Pharaoh's Recognition: The passage of two years allowed for the cupbearer to forget Joseph initially and then remember him when Pharaoh had his dream. This sequence of events could be part of God's plan to ensure that Joseph's abilities were recognized at a time when they would have the greatest impact on the course of events in Egypt.

The convergence of events after two years and the occurrence of two contrasting phases in Joseph's life (betrayal and hardship followed by a role in saving the world), can be interpreted as a profound symbol of echad emerging from duality.

 

Dual Phases, Echad Purpose: Pharaoh's dream presents two contrasting periods of plenty and famine. The unity(echad ) lies in the purpose behind these dualities: the years of plenty prepare for the upcoming famine.

 

 In essence, the interpretation of this mystery lies in recognizing the unity that emerges from seemingly disparate elements. This represents the mystery of echad, in which some of Israel became hardened until the full number of the Gentiles came in. It could signify the hidden God's providence or plan that orchestrates seemingly separate events into a harmonious whole(echad ).

A troubled ruler is wandering around.

Joseph, humble in his heart,

stand before him with reverence.

 

꿈이 마치 그를 조롱하는 듯 자신의 궁정에서 ,

번민에 빠진 한 통치자가 서성입니다.

겸손한 요셉은,

경건함으로 그 앞에 섰습니다.

 

"I dream a dream," Pharaoh spoke with despair,

"No seer's wisdom can unravel."

Yet Joseph, with grace, his answer unfurled,

 

"It's not in me, but God will answer."

 

"내가 꿈을 꾸었구나." 바로는 절망에 빠져

"어떤 선견자의 지혜로도 이 꿈을 풀 수 없어."

 

요셉은 "내가 아니라 하나님이 답하실 것입니다."

 

No boasting words, no prideful pretense,

Boldly he spoke, against Pharaoh, a sovereign, revered divine.

 

자랑하는 말도, 교만한 가식도 없이,
주권자요 존경받는 신인 바로에게 담대히 말합니다.

 

Pharaoh stirred, moved by

this a man in whom is the Spirit of God.

 

하나님의 영에 감동된 사람으로 인해

바로의 마음이 동합니다.

 

In an age that covets the laurels of pride,

Joseph did confide in God.

In humility's robe, wisdom's gilded art,

He stood, a man of God, set apart.

 

자신을 드러내기를 갈망하는 시대에,

요셉은 하나님을 신뢰했습니다.

겸손과, 화려한 지혜의 옷을 입고,

하나님의 사람으로 구별되어 서 있었습니다.

Joseph was properly aligned, from the very start, moved by divine grace. Praising God, exalting the Almighty's name, dreams unfolded, mysteries untamed.

 

Where the Spirit moved, Joseph did shine. A beacon of wisdom, in darkness he stood, declaring God's works.

 

Hanukkah's meaning, a tale of old, miraculous lights, a story retold. Like a small lamp in the darkest of days, wisdom proclaimed, a brilliant blaze.

 

Those moved by the Spirit, in Him confide. Specialness unfolds in the Spirit's embrace, a small lamp, brightening each darkened space.

 

So let wisdom shine, a beacon so true, proclaiming echad, a message anew.

 

 

 

"그로부터 만 이 년이 지나서, 바로가 꿈을 꾸었다. 그가 나일 강 가에 서 있는데" (창세기 41:1)

 

요셉의 이야기는 배신과 고난, 그리고 궁극적인 구원에 관한 이야기입니다.

 

야곱의 총애를 받는 아들 요셉은 아버지의 편애 때문에 형들에게 미움을 받습니다. 형들의 시기심은 결국 요셉을 노예로 팔아 이집트로 끌고 가게 됩니다. 이집트에서 요셉은 바로의 경호대장 보디발의 집에서 권위 있는 지위에 올랐습니다. 그러나 그는 거짓 누명을 쓰고 부당하게 감옥에 갇힙니다.

 

감옥에 있는 동안 요셉은 떡 굽는 관원장과 술 맡은 관원장에게 꿈을 해석해 줍니다. 그의 해석은 정확했지만 술 맡은 관원장은 풀려난 후에 요셉을 잊어버렸고 요셉은 바로가 괴로운 꿈을 꾸기까지 이년동안 감옥에 있었습니다. 술 맡은 관원장은 요셉의 꿈 해몽 능력을 기억하고 요셉을 바로 앞으로 끌고 갑니다.

 

바로가 꿈을 꾸고 요셉이 그 꿈을 해석하기까지 하나님께서 2년의 시간을 허락하셨습니다.

 

요셉의 준비를 위한 하나님의 시간: 요셉은 2년 동안 감옥에 머물면서 성품을 더욱 다듬고 해석의 지혜가 더욱 깊어졌을 것입니다. 이 더해진 시간은 요셉이 바로의 꿈을 해석하고 이후의 사건을 관리하는 중추적인 역할을 수행하기 위해 영적, 정서적으로 준비하는 데 결정적인 역할을 했습니다.

 

바로의 꿈이 성취되는 시기: 바로가 꿈을 꾼 시기는 2년의 기간이 끝날 무렵과 일치했습니다. 이러한 시기는 요셉의 해석이 이집트에서 곧 펼쳐질 사건들, 특히 임박한 풍요의 해와 기근의 해에 시기적절하고 정확하게 일치하도록 하기 위한 하나님의 계획이었습니다.

 

바로의 인정을 위한 준비: 술 맡은 관원장은 처음에는 요셉을 잊어버렸다가 바로가 꿈을 꾸었을 때 그를 기억하는 데 2년이라는 시간이 걸렸습니다. 이것은 요셉의 능력이 이집트에서 있을 향후의 사건에 가장 큰 영향을 미칠 시기에 인정받도록 하기 위한 하나님 계획의 일부였습니다.

 

"바로의 꿈은 하나라 "(창세기 41:25)

 

두 사건은 2년의 때가 찼을 때 만납니다. 요셉의 삶에서 엿볼 수 있는 두 상반된 단계(배신과 고난에 이어 세상을 구하는 역할)는 이중성에서 나오는 에하드의 상징으로 해석할 수 있습니다.

 

이중의 위상, 에하드의 목적: 바로의 꿈은 풍년과 기근의 상반된 시기를 나타냅니다. 이러한 이중성 뒤에 에하드의 목적이 있습니다. 풍요로운 세월이, 다가올 기근을 준비합니다.

 

본질적으로, 이 비밀을 해석하기 위해서 겉보기에 이질적인 요소들로부터 나타나는 하나됨을 인식해야 합니다. 이는 이방인의 충만한 수가 들어오기까지 이스라엘의 더러는 우둔하게 된 에하드의 신비를 나타냅니다. 그것은 겉보기에 별개처럼 보이는 사건들을 조화로운 전체(에하드)로 조율하는 숨겨진 하나님의 섭리나 계획을 의미합니다.

 

요셉은 처음부터 하나님의 은혜에 감동하여 제대로 정렬하였습니다. 하나님을 찬양하고 전능자의 이름을 높이며 꿈이 펼쳐지고 신비가 풀렸습니다.

 

성령이 이끄시는 곳에서 요셉은 빛을 발했습니다. 지혜의 등불이 되어 어둠 속에 서서 하나님의 일을 선포했습니다.

 

하누카의 의미, 기적의 빛에 관한 오래된 이야기, 다시 들려주는 이야기, 가장 어두운 날의 작은 등불처럼, 지혜는 찬란한 불꽃을 선포했습니다.

 

성령의 감동을 받은 자들은 그분 안에서 고백합니다. 성령의 품 안에서 특별함이 펼쳐지고, 작은 등불이 되어 어두움을 환하게 밝힙니다.

 

그러니 지혜가 빛을 발하고, 진실한 등불이 되어 에하드를 선포하고, 새로운 메시지를 전하세요.
