In the shadows of Jabbok's Ford, where moonlight softly poured,
Jacob, burdened, a wrestling with the Lord.
Alone, he grappled in the night, fear's darkness gripped him tight,
Wrestling not with divine might but with shadows, his inner plight.
God, in wisdom, touched his hip, a symbolic, soulful clip,
Yet Jacob clung, refused to slip, through pain and doubt, his grip.
“I won't release until I'm blessed,” Jacob's plea, his heart expressed,
In wrestling, fears were laid to rest, a sacred struggle, divinely addressed.
His fear of Esau, veiled disguise, reflected in his brother's eyes,
But wrestling God, a soul's sunrise, dispelled the inner storm's demise.
At Jabbok's Ford, where fears unbind, a revelation of the mind,
God spoke, surprising and kind, “Jacob, a new name you'll find.”
“Israel,” the blessing came, a transformation, not just a name,
A new dawn broke, Jacob, now, a soul reclaimed.
A battle to break fear, in God's embrace, finding a chance,
Struggling, winning, overcoming fear, being free.
Blessed at Jabbok's reverie, a vessel of blessings, Jacob.
So, let go, embrace the night, wrestle shadows, find your light,
For in the threw his hip, strength takes flight, and blessings bloom in God's sight.
달빛이 은은하게 쏟아지는 얍복 여울 그늘에서
무거운 짐을 진 야곱은 주님과 씨름합니다.
홀로 밤에 씨름할때, 두려움의 어둠이 그를 꽉 움켜집니다.
어둠의 그림자, 내면과 씨름합니다.
하나님의 지혜로 야곱의 엉덩이는 꽉 붙잡힙니다.
고통과 의심 속에서 하나님을 붙잡은 손 풀기를 거부합니다.
“나를 축복하기까지 놓아주지 않으렵니다.”
씨름 가운데 두려움이 진정되고 신비한 투쟁이 드러납니다.
해가 떠오름으로 내면의 폭풍이 소멸됩니다.
두려움이 풀려나는 얍복 여울에서,
하나님은 놀랍고도 친절하게 “야곱아, 네가 새 이름을 얻게 될 것이다” 말씀하십니다.
“이스라엘”
새벽이 밝아옴으로 이제 영혼을 되찾습니다.
두려움을 깨기 위한 전투, 하나님의 품은 새로운 기회가 되었습니다.
승리가, 자유가 임합니다.
그러니 어두움 가운데 다 놓아버리고, 당신의 빛을 찾으세요.
